FAIRFIELD WORLD
Our Blessing Bears are stuffed with three things: Poly-Fil, love, and prayers. Fairfield World generously provides us with 10 lb boxes of Poly-Fil when we need them, each of which stuffs 100 bears! The folks at Fairfield World believe in using your creativity to spread joy, as shown on their latest 16 oz packaging…look for two special patterns designed by our co-founder Amy Latta on shelves now!
KUNIN FELT
Each bear has a muzzle and a nose made of felt, as well as an accent like a heart, a flower, or a bow tie to help give it a unique “personality.” Kunin Felt, which is made in the USA from recycled post-consumer bottles, is our favorite brand. They provide us with gift cards, which we use to purchase the colors and quantities we need from their retailers like JoAnn Fabrics, Hobby Lobby, & Walmart.
SUREBONDER
Every bear needs eyes, and a tail, which we attach with a little help from our friends at Surebonder. They have graciously provided us with cordless/corded high-temp glue guns with detail tips that are perfect for gluing even the tiniest of accessories (like buttons and hair bows) in place. They also keep us stocked with glue sticks so our volunteers can continue making one bear after another.
SHANNON FABRICS
Originally, all of our bear bodies were crafted from fleece, but our friends at Shannon Fabrics recently sent us a very generous donation of their super-soft Cuddle® fabrics! These are perfect for creating our huggable friends, making them softer and fuzzier than ever. We can wait to turn this fabric into hundreds of blessing bears!
MISSOURI STAR QUILT CO
Missouri Star Quilt Co, located in Hamilton, MO, is a great source of all kinds of quilting fabrics, including Cuddle®. They are excited to support our ministry by sending us even more soft fabric for bear bodies.
